This is a video taken last week of Brewster Fields on Stearns Road, and what it looks like when the river overflows (which happens year-round).
Although not identified in warrant article 24, this is the land the Amherst NH Recreation Department intends to purchase after the March 9th ballot.
The ACA is recommending a NO vote on article 24. The amount it would authorize to spend on this property ($625K) is nearly twice its appraised value.
This simply is not a good deal for taxpayers.
