To the Editor;

We were a bit confused when we read Rep. Verville’s (R) suggestion for how a broad-based tax might be implemented for NH.

As keepers of the original “Pledge”, each election year the Coalition of NH Taxpayers invites candidates to promise or re-affirm their promise to never propose or support any such broad-based tax.

The source of our confusion is, Rep Verville (R) took our Pledge in 2022. We have never had anyone rescind it, so will he still support it?

Any candidates for Governor, EC, State Senate or State House can take the Pledge by emailing us at jane@cnht.org

One can read more about the Pledge on our website at cnht.org
The full list for 2024 will be published sometime before the September 10 primary.

We look forward to listing new candidates.
