As usual, the budget bill for 2025 (HB2) contains many items that would likely fail on a floor vote of the House of Representatives.
One provision would lower or remove the percentage of meals and rooms tax that is reimbursed to the towns. The original intent was to send back 30% in revenue sharing and was previously restored last term by Senator Ricciardi (Hills-9).
There is also an item to allow KENO gambling at NH restaurants, and an amendment to remove that provision.
But one of the worst is creating a means to transfer more of your wealth to others.
